Creating a Survey
SurveyAngle surveys constitute of pages with each page containing one or more questions. A range of question types is available:
- Multiple Choice (One Answer)
- Multiple Choice (Multiple Answer)
- Text (One Line)
- Text (Multiple Line)
- Multiple Text Entry
- Matrix (One answer per row)
- Matrix (Multiple answers per row)
- Rating Scale
- Date/Time
A new survey can't take responses until it is made Live. You can modify the survey structure, add new pages, add new questions or modify questions while the survey is New. You can't modify the survey once you have taken your survey Live.
Distributing a Survey
Once you have designed your survey you need to take your survey Live so that you can distribute it for response collection.
SurveyAngle is well integrated with Facebook. Facebook users can create and distribute surveys from within Facebook. Facebook respondents can respond to surveys without leaving Facebook.
Weblink
After you take your survey Live, you get a web link that you should provide to your survey respondents. Your survey respondents can then navigate to this link and fill the survey.
Embed in Webpage
You can easily embed the survey in your own website as well. All you need to do is copy/paste the HTML provided in your own webpage.
Email Invitation
You can also invite people by email to take the survey. Each email respondent is sent a weblink unique to them that they can navigate to fill the survey. You can customize the subject and message body of the email sent.
Survey Results
Overall Results
Overall results show the total number of responses received for a survey and the response statistics for all the questions. For example, for a multiple choice question you get to know how many times each individual choice was selected.
Indiviudal Responses
Individual responses are the responses submitted for all questions by each individual respondent.
Survey Settings
Logo
You can add a logo to your survey. This logo shows up in the survey heading when a user fills the survey.
Theme
Themes allow you to customize the look and feel of your survey response page. This might be helpful if you will embed the survey in your website.
Opening survey results to public
Often you would like to share the survey results with others. You can make the survey results public in Settings. Anyone with the results link can then view the overall results of the survey. Individual responses can't be made public.
Thank you page
Thank you page is shown when the user submits the survey. You can provide a custom message on the Thank you page.
If you choose to make your survey results public, you can also make the survey results link available on the Thank you page.
Frequently Asked Questions
I get "Not available" message when I try to fill a survey, What should I do?
A survey that is not Live will give this message.
Why does SurveyAngle use Google or Facebook accounts?
Most people already have an account with Google or Facebook and we don't want to put the additional burden of creating and remembering another account on our users.
Can I make survey results available to others?
Yes, you can make survey results public in Settings. Anyone with the results link can then view the overall results of the survey. Individual responses can't be made public.
